The Point, Mortlake

From the outset, this site provided major challenges, occupying contaminated land bounded by a mainline railway to the south and overlooked by neighbours on all other sides. A further complication was that access was restricted by a protected plane tree.



The building houses five flats and with privacy required for both residents and neighbours the solution was to use roof and oriole windows.



Despite the restrictions of the surroundings, the outcome presents an award winning building with low energy apartments offering privacy and calm in an urban setting.
